'Healing Pictures'
Over the years I have dealt with and overcome episodes of poor mental health. I have learnt various techniques to cope with these events. Talking therapy supported with drawing, photography or, more often, writing works well for me.
The images below represent the move from a state of anxiety/depression to an acceptance of their source (the situation; internal or external) and, thus, the beginnings of the healing process.

Superstition: Power Object
Drawing from the concepts of various belief systems such as West African Power Associations and Judaism, this object attempts to control energies to enhance the owner with improved senses of sight, touch and hearing.

Future Work
Stroke: my mum's first major stroke put paid to any easy communication between us. She managed to write words to describe her needs but this motor/cognitive process still required the use of a cerebrum that was whole and undamaged. I never discovered what she meant by 'your ? oblong'.
I hope, at some point, to develop these images (there are several).

Pride
I would like to make a fun piece to celebrate Pride and the LGBTQI community. I'm not directly part of this community but I hope (as a 62yo, straight, white guy) to do this with respect and sensitivity.
